Quick guides

Settings that solve most situations.

Start with these checks before contacting support. They cover installation, permissions and exports.

01

Allow camera and microphone

Open System Settings, then Privacy & Security. Check that camera and microphone are allowed for Oculta when using Live or recording.

02

Choose the virtual camera

In Zoom, Meet, Teams or OBS, select Oculta Virtual Camera as the video source. Restart the conferencing app if the camera does not appear.

03

Export without watermark

The free version may add a watermark to exports. The Pro license unlocks full exports and advanced intensity settings.

04

Process photos and videos

Import your files, check detected zones, add manual zones if needed, then export an anonymized copy to your chosen location.

FAQ

Common questions.

Does Oculta send my videos to a server?

No. Anonymization happens locally on your Mac. Files remain wherever you choose to save them.

The virtual camera does not appear.

Close and reopen the conferencing app. If needed, restart your Mac after installing the virtual camera extension.

A face is not detected.

Add a manual zone over the face or sensitive area. For videos, review fast passages before final export.

What should I send to support?

Include your macOS version, Mac model, Oculta version, mode used and what you expected when the issue happened.

Contact

We help you get Oculta back on track.

Describe the issue in a few lines. If it concerns sensitive video, do not send raw footage: a masked screenshot or description is often enough.

The anti-spam check protects support. Attachments should avoid raw sensitive media.
